It is imperative for all pools and spas owners to make sure the pool fence and surrounds are safe and secure. There are statutory standards that must be met and local government agencies will often have regular inspections to ensure standards are being met.
As well as the surrounds, the pool water must also be safe to swim in. The chemical levels, if not balanced, can cause sickness including vomiting and breathing disorders.
The pool owner has a big responsibility to ensure the safety of all pool users and visitors to their property. Do not be too lax with these issues as other peoples lives are in your hands.
