A small board meeting will not require big visual aids, as there are a very limited number of people. You have more options in the way of visual aids. PowerPoint, posters, and other props are reasonable objects to use.
A large auditorium full of people will need to be significantly bigger. Presentation tools like PowerPoint will be a great visual aid for these situations. It can be projected onto a larger screen, making it easier to see.
Know the size of the audience and take that into consideration when you are creating your presentation.
