Forex Trading Hours FAQ

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

One of the most important aspects of Forex trading is the Forex trading hours. Interestingly, a Forex trader can look forward to a round the clock Forex trading experience that starts from Sunday afternoon EST and ends by Friday afternoon EST. During this time, currencies are traded constantly, as closing time for some markets at night would mean its time for others to open somewhere else on the planet. Similarly there are times when trading sessions in two different places may overlap depending on the geographical location. Forex trading hours in London and New York are from 8 am to 12 am EST while they are between 7 pm to 2 am in Sydney and Tokyo. This means between 3 am and 4 am, trading sessions in London and Tokyo Forex markets tend to overlap.
