Why didn’t the Tea Party people start their movement during the Bush years when he was passing huge deficits?

Jack asked:
Why the sudden hatred for big government and high deficits now that Obama is in office? Bush doubled the size of the government and ran up unsustainable deficits, so why didn’t these Tea Party people organize back then?

Something’s not adding up. If these Tea Party people have so much hatred for big government and big budgets then it would have made sense for them to oppose Bush during his administration, right? Again, something isn’t adding up here……

CBO: Obama deficits to equal 90% of GDP by 2020
Federal Deficit surges to ALL TIME HIGH of 1.45 TRILLION
Obama signs 1.1 TRILLION spending bill for 2009
Obama 2010 Budget = 3.8 TRILLION=&ccode=

Why did the Women in Black movement suddenly decide War was good and stop demonstrating the day Obama won the election?

At the time they were falling for the Republican con job that was being perpetrated on them.

They did start during the Bush years.

Because during Bush years in office, the economy was booming, the stock market reach the highest level in history.

Because it’s not about deficits.
It’s about hating Obama and using the deficit as a pretext for the hatred. We all know that.
If the TEA partiers were really upset ONLY about the size of federal government, they wouldn’t walk around with posters of Obama with a Hitler mustache. Hitler and deficits don’t have a whole lot to do with each other.

Its only a problem if the money is spent on Americans.
Giving trillions to foreign countries and corporations is ok.

He was white. One crazy lady said it best at a town hall meeting last year. She said she never cared about politics before, but (and this will be the line you’ll remember) you’ve awoken a sleeping giant. What woke her up exactly? government spending? If that were the case she would have woken up years ago. The wars? She slept through most of that. It was the election of a black president that rang her alarm clock. The same thing that woke up all those sleeping giants. Don’t let them tell you they were inspired by Ron Paul ether. during the Bush years they thought he was batshit crazy. What did he get? About 3% of the vote? I don’t remember, but he was never considered a contender.

We Libertarians are ignored until the republicans jump on board. The hatred for big government is not new, you’re just blinded by your ideology.

Because he was cutting Democrats’ spending requests by about 2/3.
What’s not adding up is that all of us know you completely approve of Obama’s DEFICIT being as big as an entire Bush budget.

Spending a trillion on wasting a foreign country and killing tons of brown people is freedom.
Helping your own people with that same money is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.

They did. They especially were quite opposed to the TARP bailout of GM, AIG, and the rest of the bloodsuckers that the Dem Congress chose to bail out.

Well why did the anti war protesters pack up and go home the day Obama was elected (you do see we are still in both wars) where have all the children gone crying day in and day out over the Patriot Act (you know lost “freedoms” which they could never name) Not only has Obama kept, but has increased the affects of the Patriot Act.
As you say, something is not adding up, 2 years ago there were protests in the streets over the very things that are STILL the same as Bush did, yet now today not a word.
